Lamp Weekend Is Coming to Pensacola: Two Nights of Family, Culture, and Fun—March 13-14

Pensacola, Fl. - Pensacola is about to get a weekend that feels like a hometown headline. Lamp Weekend is bringing families, friends, and the entire community together for two nights of safe, positive, family-friendly fun designed to set the tone heading into spring break. Hosted by Lamplighters Inc., Lamp Weekend is a celebration of youth talent, community pride, and the kind of joy you can bring your whole family to—no side-eye, no second-guessing, just good energy and a well-run experience.

Lamplighters Inc. isn’t new to creating moments the community remembers. Since 2015, the organization has powered large-scale, family-friendly events across Pensacola, including Stompfest and its signature Mega Event, GCODE. As the organization has grown, Lamplighters has made the strategic decision to host GCODE every other year, allowing space to deepen impact, strengthen execution, and expand experiences like Lamp Weekend—all while maintaining a standard families can trust.

Friday, March 13 | Fam Fest – Downtown Museum Plaza

Lamp Weekend kicks off Friday night with Fam Fest, a true family night set in the heart of the city at Museum Plaza. Designed for connection and community, Fam Fest invites parents, children, relatives, and friends to gather in an open, welcoming space filled with positive energy. Expect an atmosphere that encourages families to slow down, engage, and enjoy being together—an intentional start to a weekend built on togetherness and pride.

Saturday, March 14 | Mic Drop Lip Sync Battle – Pensacola High School Auditorium

Saturday night turns the spotlight on youth creativity with the Mic Drop Lip Sync Battle, hosted inside the Pensacola High School Auditorium. This high-energy performance showcase features youth teams, school groups, and community organizations bringing confidence, choreography, and crowd-ready presence to the stage. The event is bold and exciting while remaining fully organized, age-appropriate, and family-approved—giving parents the freedom to cheer loud and leave proud.

A Weekend With Purpose

Lamp Weekend is about more than entertainment. Proceeds, sponsorships, and donations from the weekend will help provide program scholarships for Lamplighters’ Class of 2026 seniors, directly supporting students as they prepare for life beyond high school. Every ticket purchased and every sponsor involved helps pour back into the young people at the heart of the work.

Tickets for The Mic Drop will go on sale February 1st, with additional details to be released in the coming weeks.

Pensacola—this is how you kick off spring break. Two nights. Two powerful experiences. One community coming together the right way.
