A Night in Downtown Pensacola: Your Guide to Fam Fest at Lamp Weekend

Pensacola, Florida- If you’re looking for something fun, family-friendly, and uniquely Pensacola this weekend, Fam Fest at Lamp Weekend should be at the top of your list.

Hosted by Lamplighters Inc., one of North Florida’s largest youth mentoring programs, Fam Fest brings the energy of a neighborhood block party, the atmosphere of a downtown festival, and the heart of a community celebration—all into one evening at Museum Plaza in downtown Pensacola.

For more than 11 years, Lamplighters has mentored young men across the city, helping them grow into leaders through education, service, and character development. Fam Fest is their invitation to the community to come together, celebrate youth achievement, and enjoy a night filled with music, food, and family connection.

Here’s everything you need to know before heading downtown.

Where It All Happens

Museum Plaza

120 Church Street | Downtown Pensacola

Set against the backdrop of historic downtown Pensacola, Museum Plaza transforms into a lively festival space for the evening. Families spread out with lawn chairs, music fills the air, vendors line the plaza, and kids and parents alike enjoy a relaxed community atmosphere.

The event runs through the evening and wraps up around 9:30 PM.

Hosted By: Andrew Maxwell (Omega Psi Phi) and Brittney Fleming (Delta Sigma Theta)

The Festival Atmosphere

Fam Fest feels less like a formal event and more like a community celebration under the open sky.

Expect a mix of:

• Live music and youth performances

• A community stroll-off featuring local teams

• Dancing and crowd energy

• Family seating areas throughout the plaza

• Giveaways and interactive activities

• More than 28 local vendors

It’s the kind of event where families arrive early, find a spot, unfold their chairs, and settle in for a full evening downtown.

Local Flavors: Food & Drinks

One of the highlights of Fam Fest is the lineup of local vendors bringing flavor to the plaza.
